| Sports Basement Fundraiser |

Sports Basement has partnered up with Hoover Middle School to help us
raise money for the school while providing savings to the families.
Families can enjoy a 10% discount on merchandise or services (except
on tickets), and 5% will go to Hoover. So if you need snow equipment,
fitness, shoes, bike, apparel, travel or camping goods, swim wear, or
sports equipment for your family, please consider making a trip to
Sports Basement.

Your financial contribution to the PTA helps fund projects to support our Hoover students in achieving their best. Over the past several years the PTA has provided resources for many major projects, including:
- Computers and other equipment for a new computer lab
- Lunch club stipends for teacher-sponsors
- Supply stipends for teachers
- An outdoor digital billboard to promote school events to the larger community

 This is NOT the 8th grade sweatshirt.- Light grey hooded preshrunk 90% cotton sweatshirt with the Hawks Logo on the back and a small one on the top left-hand side on the front.

Bring in (or send with your student) your used ink cartridges, laser cartridges, old cell phones, old digital cameras, old iPods. The box is very obvious in the front office. Please put the cartridges in a bag. We are working with Think Recycle, which makes this is a super easy way to raise money for the school. Contact parent David Boswick with any questions.

Your Hoover PTA contribution can go twice as far! Your contribution may be matched by your employer or former employer. It's easy – contact the Human Resources administrator for details on how your company can join you in supporting Hoover Middle School.

eScrip, POWERFUL, FREE AND EASY! Register your grocery club cards (such as Safeway) & Debit/Credit cards with eScrip. After you register and use the cards for your purchase, the proceeds will be deposited into Hoover's checking account. To register, log onto www.escrip.com and enter Hoover group ID# 141773623.
If you are already a registered eScrip member, please make sure beneficiary is Hoover . You can also split the donation among schools if you have children more than one school.
There is no cost to you! You can also ask your family and friends to register their cards for Hoover.

Help Hoover earn free supplies at Office Depot. Everytime you shop at Office Depot, please mention Hoover's ID number or "Hoover Middle School" and our school receives credits equal to 5% of the qualifying purchases to use for free supplies. No sign-up is necessary. Hoover's ID Number is 70014080 .

 Did you know that Hoover participates in the Box Tops for Education program? Please help Hoover earn cash to purchase school supplies. You can find box top labels on hundreds of items from food to household goods. Each box top is worth 10 cents to our school. Just clip the box top labels and turned them into the main office. This is SEPARATE from the e-scrip program. In order for Hoover to receive 10% of your Rainbow purchases, you need to buy "paper" scrip (in $20 increments) from Laurrie Petrelli BEFORE you shop.
